The increasing complexity and integration of control systems introduce new challenges to safety and operation in the maritime and offshore industries.
Section for Control Systems is part of DNV Maritime with primary competence within systems, components and instrumentation for control, monitoring, alarm and safety applications in the maritime and offshore industry.
As part of the classification process, the section for control systems is responsible for design assessment of all control systems for which requirements are stated in the DNV Rules and other relevant regulations constituting scope of class. The following list gives an overview of the majority of these control systems:
