Purpose

DNV offers a wide variety of stability related calculation services for ships as well as for offshore units. Calculations are performed for DNV classed vessels as well as “non-DNV” vessels.

Benefits

• DNV has an extensive database of calculation models, made through f.i. the Emergency Response Service (ERS) program. This may reduce both cost and time of the calculation.
  
• If no model is available, DNV has easy access to most relevant drawings for DNV classed ships for the preparation of the calculation model.
  
• In matters related to statutory or class approval, DNV’s advisory section has close contact with the different approval sections, for discussion and problems solving.
  
• Experienced staff with background from approval work, IMO groups, rule development and stability software programming.
