Training with impact - Knowledge for use

Training for the petrochemical industry

DNV's technical training courses to the petrochemical industry offers a variety of levels to help you be productive in your work. The courses are lead by managers and lead engineers responsible for development of the relevant DNV offshore standards and recommended practises.

In-house training

In addition to the scheduled public courses, we offer standard and customised technical training to meet our customers' needs.

Offshore pipeline training

The DNV offshore pipeline training programme is built up as a module concept, offering courses covering all aspects of pipeline technology from concept to operation. These courses will interest both new and experienced engineers, as it includes courses from a generic basic level to specialist courses into each subject area.

Subsea training

The DNV subsea courses give you insight based on the Recommended Practices covering aspects of subsea technology from the concept stage to operation. Courses are of interest for professionals, as well as new and experienced engineers, as courses range from basic generic introduction to specialist subject level.

Design of free fall lifeboats

The participants shall through the course receive basic knowledge of the main disciplines, comprising design philosophy, loads and response, as well as operational and human aspects.

Environmental conditions & loads - 1 day

This course provides an introduction to DNV-RP-C205 and will let the participants familiarise themselves with the necessary steps in the load assessment of marine structures.

HAZOP method and leader course

Hazard and operability studies have become more and more recognised as a good way of revealing and managing the risks of different systems and procedures. This course will give you the knowledge to lead efficient HAZOP studies and you will gain hands-on experience from participating in a HAZOP session.

HISC - design and material considerations course

A large research and testing effort over the past five years has clarified the limitations of duplex materials with regards to subsea use. This course will give you a basic understanding of Hydrogen induced stress cracking (HISC) risk factors and failure mechanisms, as well as a more in-depth knowledge of design requirements.

Introduction to welding for offshore applications

This course is intended for personell who have a role related to welding of offshore oil and gas pipelines and production systems. The training will give an improved understanding of different material issues related to welding in the offshore industry.

Materials technology for offshore oil & gas installations

This course offers an introduction to materials technology applied in the oil and gas offshore industry, covering metallic materials, fabrication methods and material issues encountered in development projects. The course will interest engineers within materials, design and manufacturing and fabrication follow-up.

Qualification of new technology

This course will give the participants an overview and background of the DNV-RP-A203, and the qualification work process presented therein. The procedure can be applied for components, equipment and systems, which can be defined as new technology, in offshore hydro-carbon exploration and production. The Qualification of New Technology training is available to help guide you through the principles and tools available.

Riser & umbilicals

DNV offers two one-day courses; a technology overview course focussing on the essential elements involved in riser and umbilical design and a analysis course with special attention to global analysis.

Safeti Training Schedule

DNV Software offers a variety of technical training for the whole Safeti product portfolio.
