Virtu Ferries select DNV for class

67m HSLC Passenger Ferry ordered to DNV Class

Virtu Rapid Ferries of Malta have placed an order for a 67m HSLC Passenger Ferry with Austal Ships in Fremantle to DNV class.

The ferry will have the notation +1A1 HSLC R1 Passenger Car Ferry A EO and is scheduled for delivery in August 2005.

The contract was won in competitive bidding with other major HSLC societies and reflects the owner's confidence in, and the strong relationship with DNV.
