Ester Garcia is fully engaged in the whole spectrum of social responsibility services. Her role as a Senior Assessor in DNV Industry enables participation in challenging projects in many different countries.
Garcia manages the new global service of sustainability report verification and contributes in a broad range of risk assessments and verification projects.
“Report verification is one of the growth areas in the corporate responsibility arena,” tells Garcia. “An increasing number of companies realise that external assurance in social, environmental and sustainability reports is essential in order to secure stakeholder confidence in the reporting process.”
Her recent participation in verification projects in South Korea, UK, Denmark and Ireland illustrates the great possibilities in this market.
Garcia is also being part of DNV’s female mentorship programme in order to further strengthen her internal network and draw on others experience and knowledge.
“I expect that the mentorship programme will help me make full of use of my capabilities and drive my career forward as I have high ambitions to make DNV a global leader in corporate responsibility services,” Garcia concludes.
