DNV acquires proNavis AS

DNV has acquired the Norwegian software and consulting company proNavis AS. The company offers solutions for ship owners and yards regarding specifications, collaboration, and workflow in pre-contract phases of a newbuilding project.

proNavis solutions support the process of establishing and maintaining specifications, enabling extensive collaboration within the company as well as with sub-contractors. proNavis’ main product, is a software package named TenderSuiteTM.

Also with emphasis on the pre-contract phase, proNavis offers advisory services such as information flow and process analyses, document management studies and IT strategy development.

From a classification point of view, DNV Maritime sees proNavis services and products as a way to provide existing and new clients with valuable process support. The aim is to improve both the quality and commercial performance of early project phase activities.

TenderSuiteTM, proNavis’ software product, is complementary to DNV Software’s existing product portfolio addressing the early project phase. TenderSuite will be brought to the market through DNV Software’s international sales team, both as a stand alone solution as well as an integrated module within DNV Software’s workflow framework.

proNavis managing director, Arnulf Hagen says, “We have good experiences from working with DNV on several projects. Now, with DNV as a strategic owner, this joint offering will be even stronger. Further, through DNVs global reach, more customers get easier access to this software.”

To illustrate the ownership change, the company will be named DNV proNavis AS.
