Orbit+ IDS, the comprehensive plant integrity management software produced by DNV Software, has been developed and implemented around the world starting with the major releases 2.3, 2.4 and 2.5 on windows platform. The new release of Orbit+ IDS 4.30 fully running on Web was released 15 October 2011.

The new release can be installed on the latest platforms like Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 with Internet Explorer 7 or 8.

This major release of Orbit+ IDS contains new modules including flexible work packaging, user-definable reports, e-mail notification, and the risk based inspection assessment module, which is integrated with DNV's world leading RBI assessment tool - Orbit Onshore. With this new release, users can perform RBI assessment on Web with a user-definable workflow for risk-based inspection plan approval and execution. The integration also ensures the RBI results to be stored in the Orbit+ IDS database to fulfill the evergreen process for asset integrity.

The new release come with multi-language versions including English, Chinese, French and Russian. It supports KPI and Traffic Light for managers to monitor asset condition and job status. In addition, more than 800 function point have been enhanced in this new version.

Many customer projects have benefit from this successful release, namely: Samara Nafta in Russia, GNPOC in Sudan, INEOS ABS in United States, GS Caltex in South Korea and Staatsolie in Suriname.

Some existing customers, such as SMC in Oman and JSSEI in China are also upgraded to the new Web version. In the near future, we expect other existing customers like South Hook in UK and REPCO in Thailand to shift to Web version from Windows platform. This month, DONG Energy in Demark, our first offshore customer on the Web version, has decided to use Orbit+IDS as their asset integrity data center.
