Ship owners are experiencing a demand for improved tank inspections by qualified personnel. There is a need for better control of maintenance as well as for improved documentation for external parties. The course is an integral part of DNV’s Hull Integrity Management package, and is for senior officers/ superintendents that are responsible for carrying out hull inspections.
Objective
It is important to the shore organisation that the received reports are consistent. Once your onboard crew have taken the Hull Inspection Course, you will find that the inspections are carried out more uniformly, defects are correctly described and the reports are easily understood. Your maintenance planning will be eased as the inspection reports will form a solid basis for your decisions.

• Naming of ship structures
