DNV acknowledged as accredited certification body for AI management systems
DNV has officially been acknowledged by RvA as an accredited certification body for the international standard on AI management systems ISO/IEC 42001.
“We are very proud to announce our accreditation from RvA as one of the first global certification bodies worldwide. Certification to the ISO/IEC 42001 standard can be essential for companies to adopt a robust process governance to ensures safe, reliable, and ethical development, implementation and use of AI,” says Barbara Frencia, CEO of Business Assurance in DNV.
Even though AI has considerable potential to benefit society and economies through positive applications, inappropriate use of AI-technology or lack of control need careful management.

Recently, Cognizant become DNV´s first customer to achieve accredited certification to the ISO/IEC standard. The technology leader definitely sees the value and is the first IT industry service provider to achieve accredited certification.
