Product Assurance

Product certification and compliance is vital to prove product quality, and is often a ticket to trade

Manufacturers can test and certify their product once for a large market and get acceptance in many countries. We are here to help you.

  • Product Mark Certification: Product Mark Certification Scheme provides confidence to industry, regulators and consumers that your products are certified to meet the requirements of the specified standard. This System 5 scheme requires annual audits of the manufacturing facility in addition to product type testing. DNV Product Mark is an independent assurance to the customer that the product has undergone a rigorous audit and testing program.

  • WaterMark Certification: The WaterMark Certification Scheme (Scheme) is a mandatory certification scheme for plumbing and drainage products to ensure they are fit for purpose and appropriately authorized for use in plumbing and drainage installations. This means that a material or product has been tested and evaluated to an approved product specification and certified by an accredited organization.

  • Australian Wood Packaging Certification Scheme (AWPCS): The Australian Wood Packaging Certification Scheme (AWPCS) is designed to ensure that Australian treatment providers and wood packaging manufacturers produce materials that meet the ISPM 15 standard. Once certified it gives companies the authority from the Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment to apply the internationally recognised mark to wood packaging material used for export. The ISPM 15 certification mark can only be used in Australia by participants in the AWPCS who are recognised by the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources.

  • Gas Cylinder Test Station (GCTS): The scheme grants certification to Gas Cylinder Test Stations (Static, Mobile and Integrated test stations)  which meet the requirements specified in the AS 2337 series of Standards. Regulations require Gas cylinders be inspected and tested at regular intervals. Test stations may be assessed to test Welded and brazed (LPG BBQ & fork lift cylinders), Seamless ( Co2 fire extinguisher & SCUBA cylinders), Composite (Fibre reinforced plastics). Self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), Automotive LPG and Automotive CNG cylinders.
  • Certification Scheme for explosion-protected electrical equipment – ASNZS 3800, MP87.2: This national scheme addresses workshops and businesses that repair, modify and overhaul electrical equipment intended for use in explosive atmospheres e.g. electrical machinery used in mining. The scheme contains the basic rules and procedures for the management, administration and operation for the facilities.

  • ANZ Ex certification scheme: ANZEx was created to establish a series of standards designed to ensure that all electrical equipment and installations used in explosive atmospheres is safe. Designed for the certification of equipment for explosive atmospheres, ANZEx certification is very similar to the international IECEx Scheme. Compliance with these standards is achieved through rigorous testing and continued surveillance via a regular auditing process.

  • Product Verification and Validation: DNV offers verification and validation services for checking that a product, service, or system meets requirements and specifications and that it fulfills its intended purpose.

  • Type Test Scheme: DNV offers Type Test certification for materials/products that will benefit from independent verification, either as part of a supply chain to certified end products or by customer demand.  Type test Scheme where compliance to the relevant standard is confirmed through independent testing and review of test reports. The Type Test certification is an ideal way for the supplier to show that their material/product complies.
