Have you been invited to interview for a position with us? Congratulations! Here are some tips on how to prepare

Read the job description carefully 

DNV puts a great deal of effort into crafting job advertisements. In the process, necessary key qualifications and personal characteristics are mapped and communicated. Make sure you understand what the company is looking for before going to the interview. 

Do some research 

DNV operates across several businesses and geographies. Getting an overview will be helpful. Be sure to familiarize yourself with our purpose, vision and values, as these are central to everything we do.

Prepare to answer “why”

Think carefully about why you want to join DNV. What is it about the position and our organization that speaks to you? The recruiters will certainly ask you about this. 

Know your strengths 

What can you contribute to our organization? What separates you from the other applicants? Help the recruiters see how you will be valuable in the position.

Remember to give examples

When referring to your personal characteristics and experiences, be ready to give examples that demonstrate your personal traits. Are you a good leader? Give an example of a time you exercised good leadership. 

Ask questions

The interview is not just an opportunity for the company to get to know you better – it is also an opportunity for you to get to know the company and find out if this job is right for you. Don’t hesitate to ask any questions on your mind.
